Firefox 2.0.0.5 Released

After a week of final testing for the Release Candidate, version 2.0.0.5 of the popular Firefox web browser has been released. In amongst the almost 100 issues fixed in this update are a number of key security related updates, including security issues previously covered by S?nnet Beskerming, and listed here.

Of the almost 100 issues addressed in the current version of Firefox are around 15 that led to application crashes and 2 that affected privacy related information in the browser.

If for nothing else than obtaining patches for security problems, Firefox users should update to 2.0.0.5 at the earliest opportunity. This can be achieved through the above link, or through the Update setting within Firefox.
